Yeah, Yeah we’ve all heard it literally a thousand times…”Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” Not to say, this isn’t true, but it is definitely a cliché. Without a doubt breakfast is very crucial to many aspects of our daily lives. Functioning, perhaps being the frontrunner. It’s pretty difficult to function an entire waking day without a proper breakfast. What many people don’t realize is that the fast our body is in during sleep is going to be broken sooner or later. So, the meal of breakfast will happen whether it’s within 30 minutes of waking or hours down the line. It’s not difficult to eat a timely and nutritious first meal of the day, you just have to make it a point to do so.

There seems to be a myth amongst dieters or just people in general that eating breakfast is not copacetic to losing weight. On the contrary, eating breakfast is entirely copacetic to dropping the LB’s. The real question is what is best to eat first thing in the morning.

As far as Fats, Carbs and Proteins go, the three macronutrient amigos should not be separated—they want to stick together—at least for breakfast anyway. Eating a well-balanced morning meal will provide the energy and body function support for the rest of your day. This is where the fat-loss happens. Eating breakfast for weight-loss is all about providing adequate fuel to burn excess calories during exercise and daily functioning.
